Mute for yourself
Open a person’s participant menu and choose Mute for me. This changes what you hear and does not mute them for the rest of the room.
KEEP YOUR CORNER OF THE ROOM KIND
Vennelo is for adults 18 and older. These are practical ways to use its group voice and text rooms while protecting your privacy and respecting other people.

No harassment, hate, threats, scams or sharing someone else’s private information. A nickname, city choice or profile photo does not verify a person’s identity or location. Ask about someone’s experiences without pressing them for personal details.
Anyone can skip a Truth or Dare round. Keep questions and challenges optional, respectful and appropriate for the group. Do not push someone to show their surroundings, share a private photo or reveal information about another person.
Your mic starts off when you enter. Turn it on only when you want to speak, and turn it off whenever you like. The participant card shows the group when your microphone is muted. A host can move a member to listening only.
If you use more than one browser tab, audio stays in the existing tab until you explicitly choose Use audio here. Screen sharing is optional and depends on browser support. Before sharing, choose the intended tab or window and check that it contains no private information.

Use Report on a participant’s menu when behavior breaks the rules. Feedback in Profile can also describe a product issue or something that needs attention.
A removal vote lasts 15 seconds. More Yes than No votes removes the person for ten minutes; a tie keeps them. The target cannot vote on their own removal. You can start one vote every 15 minutes and vote on other people’s proposals.
Votes are a moderation tool, not a way to gang up on people. You can always choose Exit and confirm leaving instead of continuing a conversation.
Chat is shared with the room. Earlier messages are not available to newcomers, and room messages and images expire after two hours. You can delete your own messages, including photos. Deletion cannot erase copies another person has already made.
View once limits each eligible recipient to one open. Closing removes their access; routine storage cleanup follows when recipients finish or it expires. Cached copies can take time to clear. A browser cannot prevent someone taking a screenshot or recording their device.
You do not need to give the room your real name or email. Your guest session is remembered in your browser for seven days. Use Profile to edit your name, bio and picture. Never post your account recovery phrase: someone with it can restore your profile.
Room moderation uses account and network restrictions to prevent immediate rejoining after removal. A nickname does not mean you are untraceable to the service. Avoid sharing personal addresses, financial details or login information with people you have just met.
Conversational AI is available in dedicated shared AI rooms. Those rooms explain what reaches AI before you enter. Ordinary room conversations are not silently sent to that conversational AI. An optional shared AI suggestion is a separate action.
AI suggestions can be wrong. Treat them as conversation ideas, and do not submit sensitive information. Room participants can still record what they see or hear on their own devices.
Choose a city, find a live room and take part at your own pace.
